How Does Bowen Work?

The therapy consists of a series of ‘rolling moves’ over muscle and connective tissue using light touch. The light touch is only applied briefly but at precise points.

The Bowen Technique both balances and stimulates – the restorative process beginning once the body is relaxed.

The body normally responds quickly, making ita clinically effective and cost effective treatment.

Bowen Therapy

Bowen sessions last approximately 30-45 minutes, maybe a little longer on the first visit. This therapy can be performed on skin or over light clothing, whatever the client is comfortable with. The cost of sessions are E40.00 for adults, E25.00 for children under 18 years. There is a E15.00 charge for babies under 2 years. It is generally recommended that clients attend three sessions, which must be spaced between 5 and 10 days apart. Some clients with chronic on-going conditions choose to come for maintenance sessions every month, two months, or whatever they wish. This is a deeply relaxing therapy which assists the body to heal itself.
